QA Engineer

Experience: some experience outside of classroom projects is required

Job Description:
Interested in working in a fast fast-paced, creative environment for a leading digital imaging kiosk company? Lucidiom is seeking a Quality Assurance / Software Test Engineer who will develop and execute test plans and work with product managers, developers and technical support to ensure that we ship a high-quality product to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes and controls.
• Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling and training.
• Thoroughly test new versions of software and hardware products.
• Write technical documentation and manuals for internal and external customers.
• Participate in design and spec reviews.
• Review feature design documents.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans.
• Build test-case matrices.
• Create, maintain and execute test automation scripts.
• Develop and perform performance/stress/load testing.
• Identify and track bugs internally and with OEM partners.
• Work with support department to identify and reproduce customer issues.

Requirements:
• Highly motivated and independent worker who is not shy at tackling tasks they do not immediately understand.
• Strong manual testing and debugging skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
• Experience with web testing including e-commerce, web content, and process flow.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in writing scripts for automated tasks.
• General programming and SQL query language including some familiarity with XML, C++ and .NET.
• Experience with hardware and software installations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional, and Office.
• Familiarity with Wise Installer a plus.
• Ability to juggle several different projects simultaneously in order to meet demanding deadlines.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Some travel possible.
