Job Description:
Lucidiom Inc. is seeking additional Technical Support Representatives to round-out our top-rated Support Team in the digital imaging industry. As the front-line of communications with our customers, our Tech Support Reps provide top-notch customer service and technical assistance to a wide-ranging customer base of varying technical aptitude. Lucidiom, Inc. seeks someone outgoing, personable, and flexible who can jump in and learn quickly. Every day is different as you work to resolve customer issues via email, on-site training, phone calls, and online forums while also assisting the QA and development teams with software testing and sales with tradeshows.
Requirements:
- BA/BS required
- Travel opportunities are guaranteed (10-25%)
- On-call rotation for weekend coverage
- Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident
- Must have or be able to apply for a passport
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to entire Lucidiom customer base over the phone, internet, and on-site.
- Collaborating with the QA and Development teams to test new versions of the software and relay customer feedback for new features and requests
- Assisting customers in the installation of new machines over the phone, internet, or on-site
- Training customers to use software and hardware at the home office, out in the field, and via the internet
- Creating and maintaining documentation for new software releases, hardware maintenance, and FAQs
- Travelling to install software/hardware on-site for new customers as well as at tradeshows
Required Skills:
-Highly motivated and independent workers who are not shy at tackling tasks they do not immediately understand.
-Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
-Professional demeanor with the ability to articulate technical problems and their resolutions effectively to a customer base of varying technical aptitude
-Excellent working knowledge of Windows hardware and software
-Experience with hardware and software installations
-Good working knowledge of the Internet and setup/troubleshooting of basic networks
-Experience in a tech support or help desk environment is a plus
-Experience working with photo lab equipment such as mini-labs, scanners, and cameras is a plus
-Experience in scripting, programming or XML is a plus
