Photo Finale
Lucidiom has formed a partnership with Trevoli, makers of the Photo Finale Software, and now the
APM (2.0 and later)
burns a generic version of Photo Finale on CDs made at the APM. Many of you already own
a customized version of this software that allows the customers to order prints from the CD and direct
them back to your lab. If you would like to use your customized version of the viewing software, follow these
directions:
1.) Close the APM and the Hardware Attendant.
2.) Go to: C:\APM_FOLDERS\PhotoFinaleSoftware\
3.) Copy your customized version of the Photofinale.exe file into this folder and let it overwrite the existing file.
4.) Close that window and restart the Hardware Attendant.
If you would like more information on getting your own customized version of the Photo Finale Software, please contact our sales department at 703-564-3400, Option 2.
Sending your XML Files to Support
If you need help with the configuration of your APM, there is a very handy tool that will send
your entire configuration to the Support Team.
In the configuration menu of both the APM and the Print Station software there is a button to "Send
XML Configuration to Support." (If you are not connected to the internet, then you will not be
able to use this feature.) Please contact Lucidiom (via email or phone) when you send the files,
to give us a little more information about the changes you would like to us make.
Often, the fix or changes requested can be done in a matter of minutes and sent back to you.
For more information on this, please refer to the User's Manual.
USB Devices
The APM 1000 (Countertop APM) can accept images from USB storage drives!
To set this up, launch the Configuration Manager and click on "Devices."
Enable "USB Device" and change the drive letter whatever the next unused
letter is on your system (in most instances, this will be drive I).
The next time a customer comes in with the device,
they will insert the USB storage device into one of the slots on the right side of the
APM monitor, and then proceed through the order as usual.
