Lucidiom Releases APM Version 3.0!
|
This is our biggest and most powerful release to date for the APM photo kiosk.
The reports back from our test installations have been excellent.
This version includes tons of small changes, like adding the ability to display filenames
below thumbnails as well as some big additions, like the optional add-on components:
passport photos and scanning!
Read the
release notes for a full explanation of what has been added, what has been changed and what has
been fixed.

APM Greetings!
Lucidiom's Greetings software has been around since version 2.2, but do you know what some of our
brilliant customers are doing? They are taking advantage of the open-source APM Greeting Template
System to create their own templates...and they don't just stop at 4x8 cards.
Some smart labs have created scrapbook page templates, magazine covers, sports card frames,
frames for school pictures that are complete with the name and logo of all their local schools.
The possibilities are endless, and the profit margins are high!

Where Are Your APMs Installed? Send a Photo For a Chance to Win $500! |
We send our little APMs out in the world to gather print orders and generate revenue for labs and
only receive an occasional xml file that lets us know how they are doing. We would like
some photos of the little guys so we can brag to the relatives. Please send a high resolution photo
of your APM(s) on location to
newsletter@lucidiom.com.
Each client to send a photo will be entered in a drawing for $500. You may send multiple photos, but each
client will be entered just once. Low resolution entries will be disqualified. The APM must be in the photo.
The deadline for entries is September 16, 2005. Winner will be contacted and announced in the next
newsletter.

From the Support Desk
Remote APMs:
With the APM system, it’s easy to place kiosks in remote locations to increase your revenue. As long as you
can plug the kiosk into the internet, the APM Order Agent (formerly called APM Anywhere)
add-on will automatically transfer orders back to your lab
for printing via the Print Station software. Extend the reach of your store--consider a remote installation!
