Camera Corner - $500 Winner! |
In the last issue of the newsletter, we solicited photos of your APMs on location. Thanks to those of you
who sent in photos; we received many more than we were expecting!
Camera Corner won the drawing, a $500 prize, by entering a photo of their beautiful new lab!
Camera Corner/Connecting Point is the oldest camera/computer store in Northeast Wisconsin.
From its beginning with a staff of two in 1953, this third-generation business has grown
to a staff of more than 100 employees.
The new neon-decorated, digital photo café pictured here opened in their store in August.
The lounge features APMs, a Yes DVD machine, WiFi and a flat-screen HD TV. Assistant manager,
Bill Waring, has seen customers spend hours at the kiosks, so it's not a surprise when he also
tells us that digital sales from the new space have already started to pick up.

From the Support Desk
1.) When you update your APMs to version 3.0.1, don't forget to update your Print Station at the same time!
The same updater can be run on both the APM and on the Print Station. Software updates can be found at: www.lucidiom.com/support.
2.) Many of our customers have found that one or two APMs is just not enough to meet demand.
With the 3.0 version, it is easy to add new APMs to your lab workflow when you have the Print Station.
Just go to the new "Print Station Settings" screen (under the "Printer Configuration" heading in the Setup Wizard) and
add your new APM to the "Incoming Paths" list.
3.) With version 3.0, we introduced a third type of cropping option.
Run the Setup Wizard and click on Kiosk Settings > Cropping Settings and you can set which of
these three modes you would like to use:
Fixed Cropping Mode: A single, fixed-ratio cropping guide is shown.
Dual Cropping Mode: Two interlocking cropping guides are shown representing the smallest and largest aspect ratios of the products offered. No matter what print size(s) a customer orders, they can be sure their photo will be cropped within the range between the two guides. (While it is recommended that you specify the largest and smallest aspect ratios of the products offered, you may choose any two ratios.)
Exact Cropping Mode: Customers must crop a photo for each independent aspect ratio available, based on the print sizes offered. This allows customers to have different crop areas for different products and to see exactly the cropping they will get for any print they order, but it requires them to crop a photo multiple times.
4.) The 3.0.1 manual is coming soon! Check www.lucidiom.com/support for updates.
