Lucidiom APM Software Wins CES Innovations Award

New York City, NY, November 15, 2005 – Lucidiom Inc., creator of the original Automated Photo Machine (APM), won a 2006 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award for its kiosk software, APM 3.0, which helps retailers and their customers make high-quality digital prints quickly and easily.
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program recognizes the most innovative consumer electronics products in 30 categories. Lucidiom’s APM 3.0 software was named an Innovations Honoree within the Retail Resource category.

Creve Coeur Camera was highlighted in the October issue of Imaging Business magazine.
Creve Coeur has eight stores in St. Louis and a total of about 30 Lucidiom APMs. They have upgraded to
the latest APM version and have networked all their kiosks. "Our digital photo business is doubling
every week since we upgraded our software," said Stephen Weiss, president of Creve Coeur Camera (pictured to the left).

Ignatius Dotsey, Technical Support Representative
Ignatius (most popularly known as INGO) was born in Ghana, but
grew up pretty much everywhere: Zimbabwe, Togo, Swaziland, Mozambique, South Africa (SA)...
(so you can see why he gets confused when asked where he's from!)
At the last count, he has been to 24 countries. He can speak and/or
understand about 6 languages, including Ewe/Ga/Twi (from Ghana),
Shona (from Zimbabwe) and English, of course.
He used to speak French when he was a
kid but now has to listen hard just to keep up.
He understands a bit of Zulu and Afrikaans (South Africa)
and can translate Latin!
Ingo graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1995.
He recently completed 5 IT Certifications courses at Georgetown University and is
currently
studying for his remaining exams. Before life at Lucidiom, Ingo worked for
Siemens (SA), Serotonin Solutions (SA), Ecompex (USA) and Lowe’s (USA).
He has also been involved in the modeling industry for well over a decade...hence his passion
for photography.
When not helping Lucidiom customers, Ingo enjoys almost everything, from playing investment
games to playing squash
(which he describes as very similar to racquetball but better) and occasionally,
he can be found on the soccer field.

From the Support Desk
TIP #1: When you install templates on your APM, use the Setup
Wizard on the APM to configure which
designs and sizes you want to offer.
If you manage your print workflow with the Print Station, you must also use the Setup Wizard on the
Print Station to map where each size card is printed. (If you do not use the Print Station,
this configuration is done in the APM's Setup Wizard.) You may also need to configure your printer driver
to accommodate any new template sizes.
TIP #2: When you update your APMs to, don't forget to update your Print Station at the same time!
The same updater can be run on both the APM and on the Print Station. Software updates can be found at: www.lucidiom.com/support.
