APM 4.0 is Here!

APM version 4.0 is now available for download. This is a HUGE release, with over
3 dozen new features! This version is packed with updates and features that were
requested by our clients. In addition to the standard included features and updates,
with 4.0, there are also 4 new features available for purchase...we call these
special features "components" and they will allow you to easily expand your
line-up so that you can offer more choices to your customers. In addition to the new components
listed below, we also still offer the Passport and Scanning components.

| The DVD Slideshow component is here just
in time for customers to
archive wedding, grad and vacation photos in an easy-to-view,
easy-to-mail-to-Grandma, easy-to-make-prints-from format. |
| The Creative Collections Plus component
allows customers to create multi-image enlargements and package prints,
in addition to greeting cards, magazine covers and borders at the APM. |
| The Photo Gift component lets customers
create photo t-shirts, mousepads, puzzles and more!
The APM sends the order to the fulfillment center, then gifts
are shipped back to your store for pickup. |
| Included free in 4.0 are two new creative features:
Customers will love to add a colored border or add a custom text message
to their photos.

| Merchant Services 2.0 component allows
stores to accept credit and debit cards at the APM (US and Canada only). Deposits are made
directly to your merchant account. |

Luci Launched!
If you were at our PMA booth, you met Luci, the new
scrapbooking kiosk and support program. (She caused quite a buzz!)
The Luci kiosk is specifically designed for the scrapbooker and combines the ease and
flexibility of the APM with the flair and creativity demanded by today's scrapbooker.
Scrappers use the touch screen to add multiple photos, title and journaling text boxes
to Luci Layouts, creating beautiful memories they can print on the spot.

Meet Lucidiom! |
Louis Johnson, Technical Support Representative
Louis was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and lived there most of his life.
He moved up to the DC Metro area back in 2003 to attend George Mason
University and to be closer to his friends. He finished his degree in Information
Technology last year, right before he started working at Lucidiom, but he will
officially walk with his class next month.
Louis has been at Lucidiom since mid-December. In addition to being Lucidiom’s most eligible
bachelor, Louis provides superior technical assistance to those in need.
He says, "I guess the best part about my job is being able to solve problems,
especially the challenging ones because they give a sense of satisfaction and
accomplishment when you do." Louis has been doing tech-related jobs since he was old
enough to work, from system/database administration, to web design, to just general
computer repair. He has done tech support for Electronic Arts, and worked for a number
of years as a repair technician for a company called Jemstone Computer Services in
Charlottesville. He loves technology and says that he has always had a good knack
for quickly solving problems and figuring technical things out.
When he's not being hounded by his family for free technical support, you might
find Louis catching the latest movie or grabbing a drink with friends.
He admits that he is still getting used to the transition from the school world
to the working world, but so far, he thinks it is a lot better. For now, Louis's
goals are to enjoy life and to live it up while he's young.
He is currently enrolled in some certification courses and plans to get his
MCSE and A+ certifications soon.

You can install this update today by visiting the support section
of lucidiom.com (login required) and downloading the
update installer. Don't forget to also update your Print Station at the same time!
How to Add Luci to Your Lineup:
From the technical side, you can add Luci just like you would add another APM.
From the marketing side, however, you should consult with our creative experts,
who will teach you how to best position the kiosk and associated products
to maximize sales.
